OpenOffice.org is an open source, community-developed, multi-platform office productivity suite. It includes the key desktop applications, such as a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation manager, and drawing program, with a user interface and feature set similar to other office suites. Sophisticated and flexible, OpenOffice.org also works transparently with a variety of file formats, including Microsoft Office.

Monday 2 April

Open Publish will be held in Sydney on the 1-3 August, 2007. This conference covers a range of issues relating to publishing technology based on open standards. Content management, single-sourcing data, wikis and blogs will be discussed from the perspective of best practices, project methodologies, usability factors. Professionals involved in any aspect of publishing environments are invited to attend.
